Brazil holds its presidential election on October 4, 2026. If no candidate wins more than 50% of valid votes in the first round, the top two finishers advance to a runoff on October 25, 2026. This market resolves to whichever candidate is confirmed as the winner of the presidency — either by an outright first-round majority or by winning the runoff.

Resolution Criteria

This market resolves to the candidate who is declared the winner of the 2026 Brazilian presidential election, including any runoff. The primary resolution source is the official result published by Brazil's Superior Electoral Court (Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, TSE) at dadosabertos.tse.jus.br. If the TSE result is delayed or ambiguous, this market will resolve based on a consensus of credible international reporting (e.g., Reuters, AP, major Brazilian outlets). If the election result is not known by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM EAT, this market resolves to "Other." Ties, disputes, or annulled results are resolved strictly according to the official TSE ruling once issued.
